Back wall overflow vs corner overflow

i have the option of two back wall overflows or two corner overflows. Is it just visual preference or does one have an advantage over the other?

I don't think one has an advantage per se over the other really. It just comes down to your personal preference and how you plan on setting up the tank and what would work best for that setup in mind.

I prefer back wall ghost personally for more foot print and visual apprerance.

I currently have the ghost on my 75 but I hate not having the tank up against the wall due to the outside part of the overflow. I know I will get less space inside but will look much nicer outside the tank (that's what the wife cares about). As I was reading around I seen several people say they hated the dual back overflows but didn't say why. The biggest con to the corners to me is being able to see the plumbing inside the overflow. Corners theoretically seem to be better at skimming the top of the water my gyres will push to one side.

The corners are better at skimmer the surface... But like mentioned its all preference. I have the corner over flows and just used black vinyl to cover the part you can see inside the overflow.

I find that corner are easier on flow in the tank. Back wall overflows that run full length top to bottom can cause dead spots or at least spots where flow is obstructed.

I painted mine black. I didn't have vinyl and I had black paint from painting my back wall black.
