Hey guys, I recently purchased a back up battery used from someone locally and I have a question. I have an apex so I have both of my mp40s on a schedule to turn off when I use the Feed A button. When both pumps are hooked into the backup, they don’t turn off but when I disconnect them, they follow the schedule.

Is there a way to have them connected to the battery and still have them turn off for feeding or do you only plug them in say for when you go on vacation?

You need to use the WMX module so you can set the mp40s in apex. So pretty much on feed time you are just telling the pumps to not run instead of killing power to them.

So I need the WMX for further coding? And with that module I’d be able to have everything hooked up all the time?

You always want the battery backup plugged in, even if it messes with your feed mode. The pumps need to keep running if utility power fails. There are any number of instances where you aren't on vacation that the power may fail for long periods of time and you may not be able to get to your tank.

If you have to have the pumps in this exact configuration, you need a WMX.

Is there any other way to do this withOUT the WMX?

No because in normal feed mode you are killing the power which is triggering the battery to come on and give power. The WMX module you will tell the pumps to run at 0% power which is basically off but the battery still has power
