Hi all. I have a 125 reef setup with a sump and 2 gyre pumps, one on each end of the display. What would be some economical options for back up batteries? i have the option of putting the battery in the utility room behind the aquarium, so it does not have to be specifically built for aquariums, aka water resistance etc. Should i plan to run only the sump return during a power outage? do i need one of the gyre pumps going? What are some ballpark specs i am looking for if i want to run a pump/wavemaker for a couple days? just looking for a place to start. Thanks in advance!

Send a pics of the setup. That’s best option. This way everyone can see what you have. But their are a few ways to buy your self time during an outage.

Honestly a good marine batt and an inverter can be done. Your losing 20% efficiency although. Most this aquarium stuff is low wattage until you take on a heater. Send a few pics in. Ideally you want to run a return or something, to areiate. Forget the wavemaker. But then again few pics would help.
