What is the best backup solution to power a Sicce Syncra SDC 6.0 return pump and a heater through a power outage?

Heaters aren't the best thing for a battery backup, they suck the juice right out of them.
How big of a heater is this that you need or how big is your system?
Reefer 250, so relatively small. I figured the most important things with a power outage is having water movement for oxygen and heater to keep the water at the right temp?

Yeah large inverters are the achilles heel of the PnP ups's....just gotta size them accordingly and should be no issues.

Other than my other recommendation of a small generator, or a properly sized DIY cell + inverter, thats about the only thing that will work for him....

Yep, i uses to keep two 100w heaters plugged into a smart APC 1500 ups and had a 35ah cell for each vortech.

It would run the heaters for about 3-4 hours before running out of juice.

Water movement is number one.
Heat is debatable.
It depends on how much heat would be lost and over how much time.
I don't have heaters hooked up. My back up can run 24 hours without heat or 7 with heat.
Most systems are fine in the upper 60's

These work really well. Costco usually has them for $400.00, watch for them to go on sale. I have had mine for a year now, it can keep my RedSea 170 return pump, skimmer, light, and 2 MP40's running for about 5 hours.
