So I have a DC UPS with two outlets running on my 8g nano. One will always be assigned to my wave maker. The other one I have the choice of operating my dosing pump for Ca/Alk or one of my Kessil A80s (15W max Draw). This is only supplemental lighting as the main light is a AI Prime which runs at 35W normally.

If the lights are out I'd assume there isn't much reason to dose alk. But if 1/3 of my lighting is still operational I wonder how much alk my tank will actually use? Alk consumption is inversely proportional to alk levels so I assume it'll reach an equilibrium.

What do you guys think? The outage I am hoping to cover myself for will be up to 24-48H because of planned outages in California. I will be home thin those cases so I guess I can hand dose alk anyways?

My vote would be return pump and heater

Heating won't be a problem as our summer temperature is around 75-90. If it's like last year the outage will happen on hot windy days so my house temp will always be above 75.
