you need to look for a source. A dead thing, hand sanitizers, aerosol air fresheners, etc. Most use UV, Ive heard of success with aggressive carbon as well.Bacteria Bloom are a *****.
Any tips to help this crap along its way. This "slime" crap is driven me mad!!!!!
Help please
yes. But a bloom that large is caused by something. imo , if you treat and don't find the cause, it may mask the problem but not eliminate it or work at all.So if I bought a UV Sterilizer it would help

I personally wouldn't rush into a UV sterilizer. Since you think it's from the Petco CA, have you done a WC? Bacteria blooms will usually disappear within a few days.
I doubt if it's a bacteria bloom then. Again, WC. If still cloudy after 24 hrs, then it's something else. Just don't add anything except SW until the 24hrs has passed.
