New nano tank, dry rock, marine pure gems, and rodi water with tropic Marin symbiotic salt. Filled up with water, added micro bacter 7 to rocks and gems and waited a few hours before turning on pumps (this was Friday). Waited 24hrs, water was clear, moved clown from another tank midday Saturday. Everything seemed fine but started seeing a smoky halo around rocks, fish was breathing heavily and short time later the whole tank looked like smoke was all in the water. I moved the fish back into the other tank as he was about to die and he has fully recovered today (Sunday).

Please help and advise, my best guess is some type of bacterial bloom that has consumed the oxygen.

Safe guess. It'll clear up on it's own but I'd suggest reading aquabiomic's article
