Can someone tell me what this white stuff is that is surrounding my trumpet coral? How do I get rid of it? I do does vinegar. My parameters are: alk 7.5, cal 400, and mag 1400. My nitarates are < 5.

It's sponge. It is harmless filter feeder but can encrust over corals and suffocate them. They useally come off pretty easy. Try a soft toothbrush to get it away from your trumpet coral.

Looks like a sponge. beneficial, i wouldn't worry about it. does it seem to be bothering your trumpet?

It is very sponge like. It doesn’t seem to bother my coral yet, but the sponge is increasing. And it is just not the best looking. Wasn’t sure what caused it.
