As it states in the title. There is an ongoing bacterial bloom in my tank and I have no way to fix it. All my fish have died and one is missing. I lost both domino damsels (I was very attached to the male, he was also the first one to die) a six line wrasse, an Ocellaris clown, and two tomato clowns. There is a neon dottyback in the tank that is more than likely dead. I can not find him. I believe he is in a rock so I took the rock I think he is in and put it in a bucket. From the fish I mentioned earlier, two are still alive but will be dead soon. My female tomato and my female Ocellaris are still breathing. They are dying though, so I’m ready to lose them, I’ve shed many tears and will probably cry some more later. My Haitian anemone looks upset and I don’t know if my urchins, crabs, or snails will make it. I would stay up longer to try and fix this, but it’s already 1:10 am as I post this and I don’t know how to fix it.

hi, what size tank, ammonia level, add airstone ,or direct flow for heavy topwater movement.
lets start there.

55 gallon. I don’t have ammonia test strips/kit. No air stone either. All I have close by is petco and petsmart. Neither of which have “advanced” fish tank anything. The petco is the one we go to all the time, and the only saltwater tests they have are the little test strips.

I switched back to water bar for at least some top water movement, but not great. I’m afraid I’ll lose everything before I can get tank fixed.

do not need stone,do you have air pump?
did you point flow to topwater? ,time is crucial here.
do you have ro water and salt to do water change?

do you have sump?
do you have fresh carbon?

I pointed flow to top water, no air pump. I have salt but no RO water.

like what?
do you have any prime ?
do you use tap water ? or normally rodi?

prime is a nutralizer,liquid in a bottle.
if normally use tap ,start mixing for water change, all at once 20 gal if possible

can you post pic of media you have?

I don’t have much prime left, not enough for 20 gal. I need to buy more but thought it could wait a week.

how much can you do? using tap try to get temp close.
cannot just do 5 gal at a time, if only have 1 bucket ,take out how much you're changing,
then mix and add 1 bucket at a time .

I did about a 1/3 water change. Changed carbon too. Thanks for your help, it was nice to have someone so calm while I was freaking out. I’m just glad I hadn’t bought any fancy fish yet. I think I managed to save the Nem, we’ll see.
