I got a clownfish from petco a week ago, and it hardley eats. It doesn't touch the freezed dried brine shrimp, and spits out the omega one pellets. I have seen him eat maybe 1 or 2 of the pellets. It basically ignores the food. Today I noticed there is a little red patch on top of one of his white stripes. I have been lacking on sucking up the left over food, which is causing my ammonia to rise .25ppm. I will be doing a water change tonight too. Ph=7.8 nitrite=0 nitrate= 40~ ammonia=.25

The redness is difficult to see from the picture. Either it could have been a injury or something else. Hard to see.

Uronema or bacterial infection is possible.

Has it pooped since getting it?

If so, was the poop white and stringy?

If it is urenuma, and there is nothing else wrong with it after 3 weeks, can I give it a ruby reef rally bath before adding it to the DT? I probably will not get any more clowns or chromis if this one survives. I still have not seen any poop, and it still ignores the food.
