Background: I've been dealing with some ich, so I've been managing it best I can in some of my fish without going hypo or QT everyone in an equal sized tank. My 12yr old heni is a bit stressed. So far they have been good, rarely see ich during the day maybe a couple spots on the heni. He's also had some bacterial issues that have cleared up on their own on his side, but this came out of nowhere. It was not there last night! Pretty decent swollen tissue bacterial thing. Lol
He may recover from this and it may heal over time but my question is...can I put anything on it if it gets worse? I remember putting methylene blue directly onto wounds of fish back at the fish store.
IF it gets worse and he's not healing can I do this or is there another topical? He'd be easy to catch and apply.
A QT tank is not feasible for me at this point in time and even if it did clear up the heni, once I put him back in the DT he'll probably just get more issues. I've never really seen anything like this on him prior.
