I hope this isn't uronema. I've lost now 3 out of 8 fish. Several had what looked like bacterial spots on sides. All were eating and swimming well. Then one by one, they stop coming out as much then start hiding, then are gone. I have a 4th I suspect will be gone by morning. I had 2 batches come in a week apart. Should prob. not have done that, but had a replacement fish and needed another 2 for my other tank to solve an issue.

Used prazi for the first batch, added for the second. Used metro for white poo for the first and just kept using it for the second. The 4 left look good, 5th maybe not. So hard when the rate is less than 50% survival.

Not sure if I should use CP in case for those left.
These are all anthias.
1 lyretail female
1 lyre male
1 dispar

I really have to guess as I can only tell the lyretails as they have more yellow. Will be calling LA tomorrow. Lost my entire batch of lyretails last time but 2 royal grammas survived and are doing great. No signs at all on those lyres that died, except same behavior--do great for several days, even almost a week, then drop. maybe I need to forget the lyretails for sure.

So far I haven't taken the qt tank down. Just major waterchange, carbon and purigen and let it sit a week or so before next batch. It's a lightly sanded bottom, 37 gal, so I cannot lift it off stand to hose it

out with bleach and leave in sun to dry. I'd hvae to use vinegar

Did all of the fish come from the same supplier?
I have noticed lately the collection methods for certain fish has been horrible and long term success it at minimal.
Cant say for certain what that is but if all of the fish dying are from the same place I would go elsewhere from here on out.
Sorry for your losses..:(

Sorry for your losses. :( Nitrofuracine Green powder works really well for those "red spots/areas" and other similar infections.

Yeah, all from Live Aquaria and with the lyretails, I suspect collection methods as this will be the second batch in a row I've lost. The others who died I think also had some sort of bacterial or something on their skin/scales. I use LA as they have a 14 day guarantee at least. Might look at another place but I'll get credit at least for the fish that haven't survived.

@Big G I'll look to see what that green powder is. Haven't heard of that. So far this morning, only seeing the 4. Will have to hunt to see where 5 is and if still alive.

I have not had good experiences with them at all, I use sustainable aquatics...
