Trying to raise dendronephthya, I've about tried every type of feeding.
Here's some ideas to raise bacterioplankton.
If you have any ideas to improve culturing bacterioplankton, please share.

I like to scoop 2 tsp of my favorite dry coral food.
Add into 5 gallon bucket with lid.
Add sw(4gallon), air pump, set outside home, gets stinky.
And let it sit 3-5 days, start dosing. Your corals will thank you.

Also you can feed culture beef broth as food source, if you choose.

Interesting...if we could devise a method for bacterioplankton culture, that could make keeping sponges especially a lot easier (inasmuch as many sponges primarily eat bacteria)

I bet many corals also benefit highly from bacterioplankton, especially smaller polyped NPS species like Leptogorgia (which I am planning on keeping...from what I understand they also eat phyto and I have a phyto culture arriving tomorrow).

I set up 24 gallon tank, feed easier, also you have small tank. Just be careful on feeding. With time you'll fine tune
