Hi guys,

I’ve been slowly ramping up Bacto balance for the last 2 months.
My phosphate stays 0.2 and nitrate stay 50.

I bring down the phosphate with Rowaphos to lower than 0.1 but I will rise again fast to 0.2.

I use the maximum dosing now of 1.0 ml per 100 liter. The manual says not to overdose on any circumstance but just wanted to see if anyone does? Before I pull the plug out of this experiment.

What’s wrong with .2ppm, if that’s what the system runs at?

As long as it does not consistently rise, I’d leave it.

Not all systems run at a specific level, just stable within the band.

I’m .3ppm for years.

Bacto Balance contains N03 & P04. Take a look at Elimi NP from TM to get your levels in your desired range before Bacto Balance.

You need to be using elmi NP not Bacto Balance

Previous statements are true regarding using elimi N or P to lower then use bacto balance to carbon dose without bottoming out nutrients.

When I use bacto balance it definitely lowers my phosphate quite well. But does not do much to lower my nitrate.
