Worse I\ve seen it yet! Happy its Diatoms... at least my colour blindness leads me to think that. Could putting saltwater in old 5L drinking bottles produce silicate do you think or shall I wait it out? I have done sand vacuuming. Just comes back

Happens to everyone, especially if you use dry rock.
I would wait it out. I made the mistake of going after it and when it disappeared, the dreaded Dinos appeared.

Did use dry rock... Ok I'll try and bare the look then. Many thanks

Although not nice to look at diatoms are harmless to the tank and will go away in a few weeks unless they have a continued source of silicate.

Thanks @Lavey29 . What could be a continuous source though? (If that be the cse?)
