Bad experience with Reefin 101

I made a trade with this guy sent 10 corals. after he ship he told me that he left out one coral and that he will take care of it by sending me money. He got his coral early morning. I got my corals at 130 this afternoon 83 degree weather with a heat pack. I thought rule of thumb was to get the next person their corals by 1030am he says this was not talked about. Few of the zoas melted away one of the coral over the last few hours started to RTN. He bascically told me the trade it finally in so many words. he claims the coral I sent him was not the right size I measured every corals before the left the only corals that was not the actual size was red dragon which I told him was diffiucult to frag and I may be able to get a inch if i could and the purple monster the frag that was pre cut a week ago was not looking good so I sent a different piece little smaller but very healthy. Few chalices that he said was to small all had 1 eye as we established at the start of the trade I sent him one eye per chalice I read other feed back about him everyone elses seem to had a good transaction. The guy had great communication but he is a flake no big deal for mr thought I would let you everyone else know.

I also think this guy runs a business this comes from a guy that is on his local forum when i aquired about him just my 2 cents

I would not have posted this but I felt like he was blowing me off and his last email was the trade is final despite me not getting all my corals.

Again here what was told and what I actually received: as can be seen from pic below.
Purple Passion 3" ----2" at most
Silver Buller 3" ----2" at most
Red Dragon 1"-----1/2 at best
Becker Tort 1.5"-----1"
Purple Monster 1.5"----3/4" at best...

And you can hardly see 2-3 of the chalices

And has been mentioned here and everywhere else you try to bash me.....I offered you the option to return our goods. Which you said you didn't want to.

You make all these claims and not one email piece of evidence. I admitted to you about 2 hrs after I shipped I forgot to ship one 1.5" frag as part of the deal and would send you money for that. Then I received my pak which was all way undersized(as proven above) and stated I would not refund you money for the 1 missing frag since all your frags were not as promised and undersized significantly.....

I never received a timely same day or next day pics of any coral issues. Nor even as I post....

RTN may have been your dipping methods, water params, etc.....

Me shipping from cooler weather late in the day (6:45pm) with a proper heat pack with plenty of paper wrap and you receiving pak at 1:30 will not be an issue. Never has been for me before either, nor the packs i shipped to FL that same day in 78* weather that showed up at 2;30pm....

Enuf said....I have plenty of positive thread elsewhere on here as well as pictures to prove ME LOSING on the deal!

No emails because Im not going to waste my time posting them. My beef with you was you did not send all the coarals again all good. Should not post as a hobbiest if your a business. I declined to send them back because they started to RTN the same day the few acros I did get from you. Again my reefing friend no worries

Your right I did leave you bad feed back I did nothing wrong to you Colton I was going to leave it alone you wanted 80 dollars for a 5 dollar frag dude your crazy I told you I will send you another frag even after you sent me the pic 24 hours later and you placed a new frag under 100% output on LED not my fault

That's the moral of the story with this guy.....communication is very difficult.

I know it was another member, but read the post below and he refers to that member as colton talking about a $5 frag. I just didnt understand who was who...hahaha.

talked to few guy in the area about this trade I traded colton for paintball guns he told ne one gun had bad selanoid it it no problem I made it very clear to him I would not ship back until guns were check out one gun was great other had 125 dollars worth the issues which he did not tell me about no big deal he paypal me 70 dollars great deal. I ship his stuff out. He says one corals look white 6 hrs after he got the coral then I resspond send me a pic I get the pick 24hours later I get a pic. Again corals die no problem replacing he it. He wants 80 dollars for a 2 or so inch ponanpe birds nest because they sale for 80 in his town, I told him no. I would replace it if he paid shipping or split shipping with me that was not good enough then he wants zoas instead. Then I asked him where did he place the coral. "He says at the top of my tank "100% LED we all know what happenes there. I did tell him all the corals were up high in my tank under good flow it was apparant that he does not know about acclamating coral to light. Then I was a tight you know what taken advantage of a 18 year old. The offer was there to replace the coral but Colton wanted it to be his way on his term when he new the terms we discussed at the begining of the trade, No more trade for me unless local not worth the headache lol.
