Tonight I was looking at the tank and found what I think to be flatworms.

I have a fish and inverts tank and I plan on having clams, no corals. It looks like it may be one of the bad kinds, which is why I am here. What other ways are there to get rid of them other than using some sort of chemical?

It would appear to be acoelomorpha (acoel) flatworms. If you wish to try the natural approach, I’d first try a six-line wrasse. It’s hit-or-miss, but worth a try.

all flatworms are bad but if you must have them ;) this kind is the one to have they dont eat corals

the only thing I have found to get rid of them was a yellow corris or a mandarin they both will chow them!! if you do end up getting a mandarin make him eat pellets before you release it in your tank. this will make sure it dosnt starve in the long run

+1 it looks like a Acoelomorpha. FlatwormXit should work to help clear it up. To help avoid future flatoworm problems, I dip all my new corals in an iodine bath like Tropic Marin Pro Coral Cure before introducing them into my tank. Understandably I get a bit paranoid about introducing things like flatworms into my display tanks.

I can't dip what I don't buy =X This is a no coral tank. But I plan on getting a mandarin ASAP so awesome!
