Good morning all!

I have a fuge with a little bit of chaeto in there, but it has been overtaken by something else. I'm curious, what is it? Is it ok? Should I remove it?

The pictures are pretty rough, one is top-->down view (under Kessil) and the other is from the side, where you can see some healthy strings of chaeto (barely).

FWIW, my parameters are great right now, and none of this is in my main tank (or anywhere else, for that matter).

Thoughts?

Can you pull the algea out and get a pic of it. It would greatly help

Is that on a rock? Almost looks like a giant glob of hair algae

started on a rock, yes. and my first though was hair, but it seems like so much bigger than any I have ever seen. Is it bad to have, if it is staying in fuge?

I have a very large green hair outbreak in DT. Long story some of the rocks looked like yours. Never had a fuge but imagine that hair may be like some of the macro that start to reproduce. May become a nusiance
