I’m sure I saw something like this posted very recently but of course now I can’t find it. Is this one of those nasty worms that I want to remove immediately?

Looks like could be a vermitid, but the pic is not clear. Google vermitid worm and compare the images. If it is, remove rock from tank, scrape it off, rinse with a little old tank water (out of tank) and then put a dab of super glue gel over anything that is left.![]()

Looks like an old vermatid.Sorry about the fuzzy picture. Is this better?![]()
You could leave the shroom on the rock, if needed. It will not hurt iy to be out of the tank for the minute or two it takes to remove it.Thanks guys. I will do that. There is only one mushroom attached to that rock. So I will place it elsewhere & remove the rock.
Good to know. You could leave the shroom on the rock, if needed. It will not hurt iy to be out of the tank for the minute or two it takes to remove it.
Vermitids are UNwelcomed. Take a pliers and break it off at the very base. You must remove the entire structure to get rid of it
I concur. Make sure to break off the entire structure, or the tube part will just grow back.Looks like an old vermatid.
If you can easily remove the rock, do so and remove it. If there is nothing inside, great. If there is, just scrub it off, rinse rock outside of tank and put a thin sheet of super glue gel over it.
uhmmm. . . I believe that was stated- what are you concuring ? It was emphasized to remove entirelyI concur. Make sure to break off the entire structure, or the tube part will just grow back.
