So a couple months ago I bought a tank I found on Craigslist and when I went to look at it I had the person fill it up and run the pumps and lights so I could look for leaks and see that everything worked. I didn't see any leaks at the time. I've been working on getting stuff together so I can get it up and running and today I had my head stuck in there cleaning the glass and saw this. I'll have to fix this before I can fill it up won't I? It didn't leak when I looked at it but I'm guessing it could be a problem down the line. Is this a difficult fix? I've never done it before.

Thats not an integral part of the tank, thats basically a sanity seal. I don't have any outside seal on my 240g tank, the silicone inbetween the panes is whats bonded and making it water tight.
But, you can peel away the rest of the silicone and throw down another bead if you want to.
