Hi, I just bought a bag of pods . Can I leave them in the bag until tonight when things quiet down?
I'd think so ,No tellin how long they have been bagged up all ready . Thanks !

They should be fine a few more hours, I would go ahead and temperature acclimate them though. If you start seeing some dead ones you can do a water change on the bag water and add some of your tank water. I would check the salinity of the pods water first if you can.

That was quick, Thanks ! They are floating in the sump now. It would be a good 7 plus hours before addition. Also, I'll be sure to check salinity.

Great " Heads Up " on salinity. The bag water was 1.012. I'm slowly bringing that up. I don't think the little buggers would have liked such a big change. Considering what I paid ? I need to help out these bugs as much as possible ! They go into the tank in 3 hours.

I would drip acclimate them just to flush out the water sent with them. Not a big fan of using water from other sources in my tanks. Plus it should aid in keeping more of them alive during the transfer.

Course if you don't mind the water from a foreign tank, your plan on waiting is fine.

Here lays the problem. It's a mixed bag of various types/sizes some are very small. Don't want to loose a single one ! Thought about a coffee filter but not sure about them getting hung up or roughed up.
Listen to me. Sounds like I just got some very rare expensive animal ! LOL

p.s. After all these years, I still can't figure out how I let You " Good People" talk me into this hobby ! ;)
