So it is new. But LFS brought already established\mixed water and live rock when they set it up 10 days ago.
You do not have a problem. You have a new tank normal cycle. To shorten the algae phase of new tank syndrome, I suggest you introduce competitors & consumers of nuisance algae by adding diver collected live rock.

 
Thanks all.. I guess I was naïve in thinking I would bypass the ugly stage given I used established rock and water for LFS. Apparently I was wrong :)

I agree with your thought of using established rock & water. However, you got stuff from the wrong place. I suggest you get Real Live Rock.

Define established rock. What you got was rock with bacteria and perhaps some coralline algae.

You still will probably benefit from less ugly stage and shorter duration. It’s all part of the joy o reefing.
