baking soda for alk ?

i been reading some people say they dose baking soda for alk but not much info on how much or how it works anyone used this before and how much to dose ill be using it with reef complete ....
also anyone used reef plus from seachem what it could do for my tank tanks

I make a gallon of alkalinity using baking using the recipe in Randy's reefkeeping link above, then using the calculator on how much to dose.
