yeah I won't be letting him off the hook that easy he's gotta work for food, also it will be fun to watch him try as hard as he can and see the natural instincts kick in also gets him busy and occupiedI think that diet would be acceptable but I would make sure that each meal is not easy. Let the eel work for some of its food. Give it a mussel in the shell with only a little meat exposed. It will be messy but it will be better for the eels health. I would suggest a post feeding cleanup if this type of feeding is done. I would say at least once a week I would present a challenging meal for the eel. From my experience animals that eat hard shelled crustaceans should be offered this type of meal to give them a more natural experience and a healthy life.
tho do you feed a mix each time or rotate each time? also do you feed them small fish such as lance fish (frozen) or just stick to the natural menu of the inverts? thanks
