He's probably been in QT for 2 1/2 weeks. And he's been the only fish.

To be completely safe, wait another week & a half before putting him back in the DT. Certain "fish worms" need to be left in a fallow (fishless) environment for 4 weeks before they all die off (starve to death). Unless you hit them with medication in the water, which you want to avoid in your DT if at all possible.

I added my clowns to my DT this past Saturday after QT. Wish I had known about needing to go fallow for the "fish worms". Should I take them out, or hope the tank was empty long enough for the worms to have died off?

You should be fine. 4 weeks fallow is worst, worst case scenario. I'm not even sure 100% sure Hexamita (or any intestinal worms) requires a fallow period. But I know Monogeneans (gill flukes) do as the eggs can sometimes fall out of the fish and hatch inside the aquarium.

Hopefully this is the last update I have to do for this thread (and hopefully I didn't just jinx myself) but the goby is back in the DT. He's eating, he's even swimming around with the clowns (I actually think they are a bit afraid of him) and just doing really well overall. I'm going to keep an eye on him just in case. But it looks like he's all healed and is back to being happy and healthy. Thanks again Humblefish!!!
