Bali clown possibly sick. Need diagnosis!

I recently lost a ton of fish to what I believe is velvet. Only sign I see was dark/deep red on my clownfish side. My Bali clown in a different seahorse tank in showing some dark patches in the white sections. Someone please ID this so I know if I have to treat ASAP! If I loose my Bali clowns I will be severely devistated! I already lost an Achilles, 2 leopard pairs, flame wrasses and one clown. I have three fish in the display that seem to be immune. Any thoughts?

To be honest, I'm not really sure what that is. Is it just on the one clown?

Yes, my frostbite looked just like it a week before death. Rapid death with all the others but three fish. Soo lost!

No distinct flashing or darting. Maybe a little lethargic but still eating.

If one that look liked this already died, I would QT & treat with Metroplex + Kanaplex. I've had good success using that combo to treat "mystery diseases".

I second this, metroplex + kanaplex

edit: sometimes a bacterial infection may be the cause of black or red spots.

Is it harsh? I wonder if I should treat all fish in the tank? Do they sell it named as such, or is it an active ingredient in something? Treat with both at the same time? Thanks

It's not overly harsh. I would advise adding an air stone or small powerhead to the QT though since they can reduce the oxygen in the tank. Those are the names they are sold under and shouldn't be too hard to find. You'll follow the dosing direction on each package and put them in the QT at the same time. Continue to do so until symptoms disappear but not shorter than 10 days.

I would use them together for 10 days. Neither seem especially harsh IME, but just like with humans all fish will react differently.
