Ballast upgrade?

Hi one of my ballasts went out on my 24” aquatic life T5 hybrid fixture. I purchased this Phillips ballast hoping these will make my T5’s brighter. Did I do the right thing? Or did I spend a little more for nothing?

No, I don’t think so…Phillips and Advance makes a good ballast …
