When kalk will not keep up with demand I will be supplementing with Randy's two part with Tropic Marin Part C

I'm running kalk currently, I've hit maximum dosage and am using Tropic Marin all for reef, along with pro coral mineral.
I'd much rather use balling but I'm keen to know which people prefer

What sets this apart from DIY + TM C or Tropic Maric's?

I prefer the BRS chemicals plus it specifically adds in the A and K from Tropic Marin. You can add those with any other as well but it’s included in the package

Thanks. So the gist of it is that you prefer BRS product(s) in this use case. I was just curious as Tropic Marin would be their calcium, alk, then part c trace elements. Only difference being the product so wasn't sure if it was cost, ease of purchase, or something else.

TM uses mostly sodium bicarbonate for their alkalinity as well. I use soda ash and when my 5 gallon bucket runs out, I’ll switch to sodium hydroxide.

That is what I was saying that I will use Randy's two part with Tropic Marin Part C. My plan is to start with the B recipe and see where I end up with PH.

Not sure if its avalible in the US. But Modern Reef RKS is the best Balling i have used together with the foods. All dosed based on consumption, super easy to use and really makes corals happy.

i'm using tropic marin.all is good except alk is 11.5.is that to high?
YEs, 11.5 dkH is a little high for best results. We would recommend cutting back on your Balling Part B dosage, and letting that value fall to between 7 and 9 dkH. Then go back to a "maintenance"dose to keep it there.

Not bad but the most expensive

Just to clarify, the only true Balling Method solutions available anywhere in the world are manucfactured by Tropic Marin. That amnufacture is ovetseen by our Head of Product Developement, Hans-Werner Balling. There are no other solutions, that I am aware of, that are the exact formulas of the original Balling Method made by any other company. Even products labeled as "Balling something" are not actually Hans-Werner's formula.

This is not to say that there are not MANY other great calcium/alkalinity products out in the Market. Just that they are NOT Balling, even when labeled as such.
