Hi, I have been balling for the past month with components 123 and my levels are as follows, ALK 8.4, CA 531 and MG 1263. My calcium seems way high. What do you recommend? Will it fall into place if I keep going or should I go off it and get it to level out and go back on again? Let me know. Thanks!!

Are you dosing equal parts? I've been using the Tropic Marin balling components and found that I have to dose different amounts of part A and B to keep my alkalinity and calcium where I want them. Just adjust your dosages to hit your target parameters.

I dose equal parts because that is what is required by Aquaforest
I have also using 123 for the past 5 months or so. Are you still doing any water changes and if so with what salt? My calcium is right in line. Maybe your salt is mixing high?

I actually haven’t done a WC recently but when I do I use the basic Red Sea salt the blue bucket not the coral pro one. So calcium is right in line. My CA is dropping a bit now so I’m hoping it works itself out I’m at 499 now with no changes to my dosing amounts.

Just out of curiosity, are you buying the premade solutions or are you making it yourself out of the components? Not trying to imply you are making it incorrectly if you are making it, just trying to ID points of possible error

I am currently using the premade solution but I bought the components recently to make my own so I plan to do that when I run out of the premade ones.

Can someone from Aquaforest chime in? I have been stuck with my Ca at 520 several days. Should I stop dosing the 3 part and just even everything out and start again hoping that things will level out or should I keep going with my equal dosing. Please let me know. Thanks!

Hi, Aquaforest recommends to add all 3 parts in equal amounts. Slowly they balance out and everything falls in line. In case, they dont thenyou can try playing with the Ca level with your own recipe with Aquaforest products. But for now just keep dosing them equally.
