Hello,
I start use aqua forest balling ( component 1,2,3) can you help me?
I have to dose 90 ml each one.
I think, I dose them 3 times a day, 3 x 30 ml. - each one
1. 6 am, 6 20 am 6 40 am
2. 14 pm, 14 20 pm, 14 40 pm
3. 22 pm , 22 20 pm, 22 40 pm

The goal is the fixed ph...
What is your opinien?

Thanks!
Laci

Thats a lot to dose at one time 30ml
You dose part 1 at say 6 am
You dose part 2 at 7am
You dose part 3 at 8 am
You repeat this across the day.
How did you come up with the total of 90 ml a day?
Did you test your alk first thing in the morning then again at noon and before the lights go out. This will give you your use of alk during the day.
What dkh are you wanting to keep your tank at. My tank does best at 7 to 8 dkh.

My tank is 400 liter.
AF component +1+2+3 : 50 ml per daily per 100 liter of water / each one ( component1: ca, mg. Component 2: NaHCo3. Component 3 : mineral salt) My dkh was to high yet (9-10) It is 8 dkh now. I begin to add Af component 1,2,3. I will test, what amount of component1,2,3 is optimal. I think for beginning the 90 ml daily is optimal. But I can take it lower or higher if the measure shows it.....
For me is a big question, the time oft the dosage, and how often can I dose them during the day?
Thanks

You want to dose regularly across the day I dose 6 times a day through out the day as corals are always using cal and alk as they grow.
I found that 7 to 8 worked for my tank by watching how the SPS reacted to that level of dkh. There was less stress in the corals and Polyp extension was better at that amount.

Good day Laci

I think it is a good start. The more dosing increments per day will make the parameter even more steady.
As a side note I do not think you will achieve a fixed PH without driving yourself crazy trying to do achieve a steady PH:rolleyes:;):). I see post every day with member concerned about there PH levels, remember as long as you maintain a PH about a 7.9 you are doing good. If you are running a PH lower then 7.9 you might consider a PH scrubber or ruining you air from out skimmer to the outside to draw fresh air in to the skimmer.

The reason for lower PH is Co2 build up in your house/apartment for the reason it is closed up and by us humans, breathing and cooking with gas which consumes O2/fresh air, this causes a build up of Co2 in our living space and especially during winter.

Here is a chart of my PH this past week, and I am drawing air for outside. The PH is lower this morning for the reason it is foggy outside and the air is heavy, but in a couple of hours when the fog burn off and the air thins my PH will go up:)

Ok , I understand, I add component 1,2,3 for exsample 6 times daily. Can I dose them once in a while in an hour? ( for exsample: comp1 ca, mg: 7 am, comp2 kh: 7 30 am, comp3 mineral salt: 7 50 pm)

It is interesring...
My skimmer is in the sump. The skimmer gets the air from sump, wich is quite closed. Would be it better, if the skimmer gets air from room directly?

One more question:
I have AF90 reactor with activated carbon and Rowaphos. What is your opinien, what is the optimale waterflow in reactor? I read somewhere, that 400 liter/hour is okay...
Thanks

As long as your Rowaphos is at a slow tumble you should be good.

It could be a little better to use air that isn't recycled over and over. Depends on the situation.

Outside air is used do to the co2 of humans breathing in a indoor room causes ph to drop in some cases . Thou it is also best to use a carbon filter on the intake of the air from the outside due to people spraying chemicals outside of your house that could be drawn into the air intake of your skimmer.
