Hello Claude,

I was hoping to start a thread with a simple broken down explanation of what it takes to start the Balling Light method in my system. The exact products that are needed and any advice on how to execute it. I am not even sure if all the necessary products are available here in the States. Thanks

Tagging along......GREAT topic.

I for one use, and really believe in, using ESV Alk & Cal as my source of dosing vs. BRS and alike. IMHO there is just something in the ESV products that make my SPS's happy.

Looking forward to seeing what others think.......

I agree 100% their Salt is fantastic too! At first it seemed like it would be a real hassle but the results are truly undeniable. I think I may actually even get better PE immediately following a water change. As soon as i finish up the last of my BRS two part I'm switching to the ESV.

HI ReefJunky
The Balling Light System helps you to install a very staple enviromental for your Aquarium. Calcium, Magnesium and the Alkalinty can be control very easylie and safe, Due to the automatical Dosing of the three Trace B Elements you create a balanced solution. So it is good for SPS and LPS or Softcorals

Hi All,

This is my first post on this forum, but given the topic I could not resist.

I have a 500L (132 USgal) reef tank with mainly SPS and some LPS.
I used to run the Zeovit protocol on my tank but I got into different problems with algea and RTN.

I switched over to Fauna Marin products, and I think that it was the single best choice I've made for my tank.

I run :
Balling Light with 3 dosing pumps
Ultralith System
Color 1-2-3

And my corals just love it.

I'll try to post some pics of "Before/After" to give an idea.

Cheers.

Crazy thing to click on a post and see my name. No one is ever named Claude. I though you were speaking to me at first. I should totally get a discount Claude. Us claudes have to stick together

I'm mixed up here. Does ESV and Fauna Marin have a interaction?

This is a different name for 2 part dosing. They just added a third part (Mg) to the mix which generally should be done anyway with a 2 part. I'll stick with my C-Balance. Its easy cheap, and contains numerous trace elements in each part anyway. I still dose a little more Mg in my auto top off only to maintain it a little higher, but the C-Balance does also include Mg in one of the 2 parts.

All the stuff is available on the BRS site. Looks like you mix it up yourself with RO and add what they tell you. Wondering what a good salt would be to mix this stuff with though, probably something with low ALK.
