Need help! I have a banana wrasse in my 40 gallon breeder qt he has been in full dose copper treatment now for ten (10) days. CopperPower at 2.0ppm on Hanna checker, not including a five (5) day gradual increase of copper inorder to reach the 2.0ppm mark. Started PraziPro 5 days ago (dosed at 2.5mg/l). Four (4) days ago I first noticed something going on with his upper lip. Looked as if he burnt it on the heater, I say that, because his upper lip was red on the outer corners with clear signs of inflammation and white in the middle. Day seven (7) of copper and three (3) days of PraziPro treatment. Didn't notice a change in his appearance, but now first noticing flashing. This is also day seven (7) of copper treatment, performing a 50% water change. Seeing him flash got me really concerned, so started my research on possible issues other than burns. My research brought me to mouth rot, the closest and only thing I could compare his signs and symptoms to. With mouth rot I could only find antibiotics to help for that. Not wanting to add anything more to the water column, I made a food mixture with antibiotics (Furan2) inside. He has been eating the food mixture twice a day. The at setup he in is a Fluval 75 aqua clear HOB with a handful of seeded matrix, a filter bag with another handful of seeded matrix on the bottom of the tank, an air pump connected to a air stone, submersible wavemaker (7 out of 10), titanium submersible heater (77°F), pvc piping, and most important for a wrasse a glass top. Brings us to today, his signs and symptoms hasn't changed much if at all any. Looking for help in advice and/or other recommendations on his treatment and care. The pictures are the best I can obtain with him being a wrasse, moving all over the place and being very quick. Water quality is very cloudy, not because of a bacterial bloom, but due to the addition of PraziPro .
