So I went to go check on my baby black banded cat shark and I found that she had wedged herself upside down under a rock. I got her out and she keeps flipping herself upside down. Nothing changed in water parameters and she’s been fine since she hatched. The only thing I noticed was that she has a small scrape on her belly. Is this a normal response? She seems to be wiggling around as if she was “writhing”. Not sure what to do

The main thing I’m worried about is that she’s flipping herself upside down. I don’t understand too much about tonic Immobility but I know that some sharks can “drown” while in this state. If she enters this state from flipping herself how dangerous will this be for her

These are signs of a very stressed out shark. I'd take tests of all the parameters. If any are high, run carbon or do a water change. Be careful of touching her with your hands. Be sure they are cleaned and completely dry. Try to keep things stable and keep lights off for awhile. Can you take a picture of the scrape? What kind of sand are you using.

Also test for any stray voltage in the water. How long have you had the shark?
