Banded trochus babies and fish

The snails in my 2 month-old Evo appear to have been quite busy; I've spotted two tiny snails and an egg mass over the last few days. Am I right in assuming that, if I add an orchid dottyback, they're going to be consumed very rapidly? The lone occupant of the tank, a sand-sifting goby, has ignored them (at least those not on the sand bed).

Probably. But others that you may not see, like other microfauna, may indulge in a free buffet as well.
