Hey guys, i got a pair of bangais, the tank was connected to many othe tanks and some of the fishes like clowns wrasses has some sort of bacterial infection. Also there were 2 dead wrasses in the other connecred tank.

How do i qt the bangais? Sould i first trat with furan 2/ metro/ kanamycin for a week then with cupramine with prazipro??

Please suggest asap.

If your sure it's bacterial then furan-2 is a good start...pics would help
Well i cant see any bac infection on them as of now. But jus as a precaution i feel like adding furan2 with metro and kana before prazi/cupramine

Both the bangai cardinals died.. where did i go wrong???

After the 10 days bacterial treatment,

I did cupramine (as per seqchem dose)
With prqzipro.

Suddenly the fishes stopped eating, both died after jus 1 week of the treatment.

I dont knkw what killed them. Both were eating and fine.

Copper poisoning? Prazi?
The dosing was 1 drop of cupramine oer 2 liters, then repeated after 24hrs. Prazi i dozed with copper, then added prazi again after 5days with 20% wc.

Could have brought the copper levels up too fast. The instructions on cupramine will bring the level up rather abruptly. Were you testing the level to be sure it wasn't over the .5 limit?

Never tested, jus followed instructuins. I did same for my ywg, nothing happened.

They were onlu eating lobster eggs, never ate anything else.

One of the fish was only breathing, lying on one side, other was dead. I thought it might not make it, but i still acclimated it to tank water and kept it in a small 1 liter jug over a night, with no meds what so ever. Morning it was up straight and look a bit better, so i have added it into the main tank. Its swimming a bit, but im not sure. What u guys think???

Sometimes fish can have an adverse reaction to medications and they need a "break" in a bucket or QT with no meds. However IMO, you should never add a fish to your DT unless he looks/acts normal.

It did eat today evening, and looking better i guess. I didnt understand what to do, so jus added it. Was in copper/prazi for 10days approx.

It has again stopped eating and is breathing heavily in one corner. Cannot see any signs of diseases. What can be the problem??

I cannot say for sure, but I think I would return the fish to QT if you can catch it.

Yes, i can. But what can be done after that??

Are any visible symptoms of disease present or just the heavy breathing? You could perform a FW dip en route to the QT to check for flukes and/or see if breathing improves following the dip.
