I have read on R2R in the past of Banggai's having lip problems.
But of course when it's currently happening I can't find it.
One of my Banggai has been "pacing" the front glass like a lion in a zoo for the past two days.
He now has protrusions on his bottom lip.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Strange. Damaged lips typically heal up on their own. Those that don’t, obviously if they get severe enough won’t be able to eat and will pass.

How long have you had the fish? Strange that it would suddenly decide to do this. I suspect the fish is trying to attack is reflection, as bangai are actually pretty aggressive fish, particularly to members of the same species, same sex even more so (such as a reflection).

Keep water quality strong and maybe add some vitamin supplement or selcon to the food to aid with nutrition.

I agree with above he was attacking his reflection.....
