I was watching my pair today and I do believe the male has a mouthful or about to. The female is making him stay in a certain spot of the tank and I am almost certain I saw eggs in his mouth when he was trying to get away from her. She is shaking and dancing around him. It is amazing to watch!! Anyone ever seen them do this?

Ok, after further research they are just doing the mating dance. I watched some videos on youtube and gave the tank a healthy dose of brine sheimp. The Banggai's are not eating. Does anyone know how long they do this?

I am not sure but congrats and keep us updated!

When my pair was breeding. The male would stop eating and they would swim tandem to each other. The male just a smidge further back. I would leave them alone for about an hour or so and would come back to a male with a mouthful of eggs

BINGO....you were spot on!! I have a male carrying eggs. I fed the tank and poor guy tried to eat, when he opened his mouth....it was full of eggs. It was amazing to watch them in action yesterday!
