I had three Banggai and one was ostracized for day one. They finally messed with him enough that he was weakened, then my cleaner shrimp came in and finished the job. Disturbing and fascinating at the same time.

I feel bad for the runt. I even tried to take him back to my LFS but they wouldn't take him. Begrudgingly I decided to let nature take its course as I have nowhere else to put it. I guess the only positive is the reduced biology.

P.S. My cleaner shrimp is a jerk. It likes to go at my hand when I am cleaning or messing with inside the tank.

Unfortunately, bangaii cardinals need to be in a m/f pair or alone as adults.
I have two bangaii that I assumed were both m because of their jaw shape. Would I likely have a m/f pair or f/f then? They’re both adult sized and never leave each others side unless doing tank maintenance

I made the same mistake of getting three when I got them last year, poor thing only lasted about a month
