I am planning to start a Red Sea Reefer 525xl build in the near future.

This will be my 3rd tank. My first two were plagued with Aiptasia. So I plan to go with dry rock and take it as slow as needed. Will also get some fish to help monitor that anyway like a copperband. Plan to do mostly soft coral... zoas, toadstool, mushrooms, leathers, ext. Plus bubble tips eventually.

I have never done a barebottom tank, but I have read they are easy to take care of. I like the look and was thinking of doing GSP bottom.

Planning on having 2 mp40 and one gyre. Which I can't decide if is too much for my soft corals.. Plan on doing a T5/LED hybrid fixture with 2 Kessil A360x.

Any tips or advice?

I don't know how you would keep the GSP on the bottom and not moving up the sides as it grows?

Lots of trimming. Which is part of the reason I'm still deciding but I don't have to make that decision for a while anyway. Just have seen people do it before and it looks awesome
