Got the CUC from the LFS. Wife noticed this stuff on the hermits and I noticed this stuff on the snails, as well as maybe an abnormal growth on the other. Can anyone ID?

The white snail has a spirorbid snail. Scrape that tube varmint off! They are not good.
Barnacles mostly appear to be empty shells. You have to feed a lot of plankton to keep them alive ime. They generally don't last more than a month or two before they starve.

are you talking about the one with the abnormal growth or the black spotted one, there are two white snails in the pics

thanks for the info everyone! I just took everything off the shells, except for the barnacles, they look very dead.
Just saw your enlarged picture. What I thought was a Spirorbid didn't look like one on closer inspection. Never-the-less, I think it's a good idea to scrub off encrusting hitchhikers, as a rule, to avoid unwanted stuff taking over your tank. Glad that got done anyway!

Sorry for the confusion, my eyes are older than me, and I'm pretty old.
