They have little hairs and seem to be bothering my frogspawn, at least I think it’s a frogspawn could be a octospawn (came with the tank)

should they be removed and if so how would you do it?

sorry pics not great

I don’t see a barnacle and the pic isn’t clear enough to see what you’re trying to identify. Can you take another pic?

Do they look like little feather dusters or tentacles and slime? If they look like feather dusters that’s what they are. If it’s the other one then they’re vermited snails, which are bad. The vermiteds irritate the coral while the other ones don’t.

Octospawn and the object looks like cluster dusters ( a colony of tube worms with fans that capture food). I would suggest covering them with coral putty rather than gel glue which is an industry standard for eradication.

doesn’t look like my other phone takes any better pictures. They are not feather dusters and I have been battling vermitid snails for a few months but I don’t believe these are vermitid

May be tunicates

pretty Sure they are stationary and filter feeders and most likely harmless but they are starting to annoy the octospawn and it doesnt fully extend so I would like to eliminate them
You can place coral putty over them such as hold fast epoxy

I tried crushing a scraping them off... it’s almost like millions of years of evolution has made them hard to get off LOL

Bruh, just punch through the opening plates where the legs come out with something like a screwdriver. It won’t crush entirely but it’ll destroy its insides.
