So I saw what was labeled as a barracuda at one of the local fish stores. It looks like one, only it is 4 inches long (maybe less). Are there small variations of these or is it the real deal?

Juvenile barracuda do show up in the trade. It is poorly suited for life in aquaria.

These are the only two views of 'cudas I want to see and neither are in an aquarium. :D

Psh man I was snorkeling the Snabi sea wall in Okinawa Japan and I could feel the eyes and I turn around and there's a 5 footer chasing me. A screamed like a girl. Big tough Marine huh, yeah no!!! Those teeth!!!!

Unfortunately its probably the real deal. Harbor pets in youngstown ohio has one and has had it for literally 6 months now in a small tank. Its probably 8" long now what appears to be maybe 40 gallons of water. Its sad. Dont buy it!!

Lol I have a 10gal. I would never consider it. 4 tangs are fine for me!

Not to mention you would probably have to do a species only tank or predator tank because they woul eat everything.
