So the title says it all. I've had this happen before with my other Bartlett's (a female), this is a male that isn't eating. Otherwise it looks fine, but it just won't eat, its over 1 year old so its not that it never ate, its just that it has stopped. When I feed the tank it actually looks like its trying to hide or get away from the food in the water column like it wants to avoid it.

When this happened to my female a few months ago I could never get her eating again and I'm preparing for the same outcome again. But thought I'd ask this group to see if you have any ideas.

I feed 3x a day:
Doc's Eco Eggs
Pellets (small size, I can't remember off the top of my head and I'm away from the tank)
LRS Fish Frenzy
Mysis (1x-2x a week)
Those red copepods (maybe once a week) (again sorry I'm away - It's a Rod's Food frozen that is tiny, maybe plankton).

Anyway it's not eating any of those and as I said it used to, so for some reason it's just stopped eating.

Any ideas on what I can do to re-start its appetite?

Thanks!

Try a larger variety of frozen foods and then try to wean them onto other foods! Anthias are always known to be finicky eaters and some times just will not eat!

LFS I advise swears by Sustainable Aquatics "Hatchery Diet" pellets to get his anthias eating.

I have four purple queen in qt the thing that worked for me so far is live black worms. Here's a little vid just made abou 5 min ago. Will be trying some Larrys in a min

I use Larry's and the fish love it. What actually ended up working, other than maybe the fish getting darned hungry, was the Apex Crossover diet for the AFS. I was going out of town and was testing the AFS to ensure it work and the fish would eat the Crossover pellets and darn if the Anthia didn't start eating it. After that it started eating everything again.

These guys are still eating will try pellets next. I got two ventralis Sunday can't wait to get home to see if they came out and if they will eat.
