Base Elementz

I heard the Trace elements should be available by next week. Maybe even end of this week

The reefers in Europe have been having trouble with the balance of the elementz dosing. They followed the directions and ended up with high/low calcium, or to high/low magnesium.

I believe solution #2 is calcium and solution #3 is magnesium. So I guess we will have to monitor the other parameters all thou Triton says we just monitor the KH.

Hmmm well the old saying "if it sounds to good to be true it probably isn't" comes to mind. I hope triton will speak to the issues reefers across the pond are facing with base elements.

I would think that they use the same or similar ratios as balling. if you dose alk you dose equal cal and mag at 15%. +/-

No, I'm pretty sure they recommend equal amounts of #1 , #2 , & #3 . You get 4 bottles 3a & 3b are mixed together.

But alk, ca, and mg should be monitored.

I don't recall where but I think it may have been on a video that Ehsan said the ratios in Base Elementz are correct for like 30-50% of tanks in europe but he expects to be much less correct for US tanks due to differences in coral and their uptake of elements. I think Base is simply to get you pointed in the right direction and you can adjust from there (like with all dosing).
