Base of mili

I got a frag of a mili about a month ago and it was incrusting on the plug. Anyways part of the base has died. But the only place that has died is where little to no light reaches is this okay. When my lfs was growing it out it was straight up and down now it is tilted

Is the base bright white or discolored white? If it is discolored its older die off and may not be an issue. If its white its newer and may be an issue. Check your alk. Keep it stable. Also if it bright white keep an eye on it. If it gets worse clip it above the white. Cut just into the tissue removing the dead portion in an attempt to save the frag

It dis colored it greener

Than I wouldn't worry. Its older die off. Still keep the alk stable it is by far the most important part of SPS.
