Base rock

Hello, I was wondering can I cure base rock in my sump nor does it need to be with other lice rock/sand? I have approx 50 - 60 lbs in my DR but i bought some cheap base rock at pets mart I let it sit in some Rodi water for about a month, I moved it to my sump.

It can be cured in the sump if you wish. Personally, I just rinse and add dry base to the main tank.
