so im looking at doing a basement sump in my new home. issue is, the basement isn't sealed and can get quite damp from time to time. would this moisture be an issue? I understand the sump is going to raise humidity as is, but wasn't sure if the basement itself being damp, and even wet (puddles) after a heavy storm would cause any issues.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

that'd be cool. just want to make sure its not going to cause any issues with say the skimmer or cause issues with the external pump.

I'd make sure you have GFCI outlets and use drip loops on all your cords.

I'm sure more experienced folks (I don't have a basement) can provide more helpful info.

yeah id have to swap outlets, luckily the basement and the well pump are on separate breakers and the sump would be on its own breaker as well. there are a few things im going to do regardless. im adding a good fan for air movement, house only has central air on the first floor so it gets a little stale in the basement but thatll be fixed soon, then I need to swap the plugs for the sump and the tank. itll be a long process but worth it in the end.
