Bashsea 6-24 protein skimmer beckett

I have a Bashsea 6-24 protein skimmer that has been a work horse for a few months and I noticed the other day it was know longer making skim,I was told by bashsea that the "beckett" maybe installed wrong or the the pump maybe bad. I've check both and they both seem ok.,I've ordered a new pump just because I'm at a loss.Any help would be much appreciated. ...is it possible that because my nitrates are 5ppm and my phosphate is at .02 that there's just nothing to skim?

I have never heard about that skimmer until now. Have you searched the threads to see what others have posted about it?

Blow thru the muffler line and assure its not blocked

Did you clean out the beckett? Zero air is getting through there

Pull out the becket, remove the o rings, it should split in half and youll be able to clean the inside. They usually get junk in and it blocks the air holes.

Yea,have taken it apart several times thinking I've missed something..

Its in backwards if thats the way you are putting it back together. The arrow/point side goes in the other way. You can see the the notches along the side where it fits in.
