Bashsea 6 30

I purchased a bach sea 6-30 some time ago I've never been able to get it to work properly ive recently re set it up with a sicce 10.0 pump it is set up external from the sump the problem im having its not producing foam .I also set up my omega 150 and its producing foam to cxl out the the water chemistry

What is a bach sea 6-30? Some kind of skimmer? I goggled it and got nothing.
I'm unsure what 'cxl' is supposed to mean?
