Bashsea Bio-Fuge sump dual return?

Does anyone know if a Bashsea 48x18x16 (the larger option of the two) will fit dual COR20 return pumps practically in its return chamber?

It claims it measures 10"x7". A COR20 claims it measures 3.875”W x 6.250”D. So I think it might be able to fit two at an angle? I really don't see these Bio-Fuge sumps much in general. Does anyone have an opinion on it? I am debating between this or a Trigger Systems Sapphire CR44 which I know will fit two, but the Bashsea would probably allow for a filter roller (anyone know?) where as the CR44 I think that would be trickier since it has a sock compartment, where the Bashsea does not.

Well, it would be a very tight fit (even at an angle), but it may be doable. My return pump chamber is 14.8" x 10.8" and I have a single Sicce SDC 9 (7.3" x 3.8"). I could run two Sicce pumps with a comfortable amount of room for flow, cleaning, maintenance, etc.

What size of tank is this for? Are both pumps for redundancy or is one to power a manifold?

This is for a 225g. They are for both redundancy and for running a manifold while maintaining enough flow.

Did you end up trying this out? I was looking at the biofuge sumps. It would be a fairly substantial increase to customize.

I also thought I could put a pump in the skimmer chamber for UV/manifold etc.

No I went with a Trigger Sapphire CR44 instead in the end as I didn’t want the ATO reservoir.
